It is our traditional Minangkabau way of greeting honorable guests or to inaugurating a traditional event by presenting ‘Sirih leaves/betel leaves’ in a special container call ‘Carano’. It symbolizes a request to allow the ceremony to take place and asks blessing from the guests as activities begin. This special greeting is expressed in a form of a dance and it is called ‘Tari Pasamabahan’ or ‘Greeting Dance’

3. Minang kabau song – Arranger Wirzam Tiharman

This song describe how love the person to their home land of minang kabau and rumah gadang is traditional house  symbol.

4. Indang Song – Arranger Wirzam Tiharman

This song accompanied by Minang traditional musical instrument as: Talempong, hand made bamboo flute the call ‘saluang’ & Bansi  and drum percussion.

5. Rantak dance

This particular dance with its very catchy and uplifting mood setting rhythmic tempo that close tuned to silat a traditional martial art from west Sumatra.

6. Saluang (Night Song)

Saluang is very traditional song, the singer will sing accompanied by saluang melody.

7. Children Plate Dance – Choreographer: Wirzam Tiharman

This particular dance is using two plates, each in one hand. By dancing and twisting plates in hands, a child or an adult performers show his or her dancing and athletic skills moving around with the plates.

8. Instrument Panen.

Presentation of Minang music accompanied with the very well known Minang instruments of Talempong. Talempong comes in three notes, melody, rhythm and bass. These talempong instruments can be used in contemporary musicals of Minang.

9. Dendang Bansi – Composer: Wirzam Tiharman

Traditional dendang Song   accompanied by Bansi is made from bamboo and collaboration with modern music like keyboard.

10. Umbrella dance

Bendi is the local name for a two wheel horse drawn cart which can take 3 to 4 passengers. This old fashioned vehicle is very popular for short distance transportation in villages as well as in towns. It is a custom for newly married couple to visit their close relatives or to go picnic for pleasure for a few days after wedding. They use bendi for transportation. This dance describes how a newly married couple and their companions travel to Sungai Tanang, located on the slopes of Merapi mount near Bukittinggi. It is a good place to spend honeymoon there. The beauty of Sungai Tanang is very legendary. Umbrella is a symbol of protection given by the bridegroom to his new bride.

11. Minang Instrument orchestra – Composer: Mr.Yusaf Rahman

Presentation of this traditional Minang orchestral music by using Minang very own traditional musical instruments like garden variety of bamboo flutes, drum percussions and talempong.

12. Urak langkah Dance – Choreographer Wirzam Tiharman

This particular dance is based upon the pure imitation of the routine activity of the people in the country side of Ranah Minang/Land of Minang, West Sumatra. This imitation is expressed aestatically and presented aestatically. For example, The body movement and concentration and seriousness of a farmer in catching fish either in river or in the open sea by using a the catching net, or cutting down trees into wood logs, or the traditional Minang  martial arts.

13. Joget Kaparinyo (Gamad song)

This song originally from west Sumatra and follow by dynamic drum percussion an making the audience moving to follow the music beat and accordion with minang character melody.

14. The Plate dance (Adult Version)

This dance describes how farmers cultivate their wet rice-field or sawah bendang. The sequence of the dance reflects the routine activity from planting the padi plants right up to the harvesting season and stocking up padi in their homes. To express their thankfulness to the Al Mighty God one of the ways is to perform this plate dance.  It s merry go around kind of thing, full of joy and festive mood like. The entire family or village shows their happiness of having a successful harvest with good yield. Plate in Minangkabau symbolizes material prosperity

15. Gunuang Padang (Padang Mountain)

This song tell story of young couple who falling love and gunuang Padang as witness, and music dynamic is gamad style with the unique melody and beat.

Those particular song is sung by using the pantun lyrics, this pantun lyrics have an even number of lines and can range from two sixteen line. The quatrains rhyme in an ABAB pattern with following stanza respectively, While it’s similar to the pantum, the line are reversed.
